Profile Wrapping Adhesives
Furniture profiles produced with profile wrapping method are considered as one of the most important components in the manufacturing of modern furniture today. In addition to the profiles that are wrapped in harmony with the furniture decor, skirting or cornice rails, the frames of the drawers, wall and ceiling panels, door frames, etc. A wide variety of materials can now be covered with PVC or PP foils, various paper materials or natural wood foils. The materials for the profiles to be wrapped range from solid wood to wood-based substrates and plastic, and increasingly aluminum and metal profiles are being wound.
Profile Wrapping Most Used Method
We can collect profile applications in the furniture industry under 4 main headings:

Today, the most used method for profile wrapping is PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) application, especially to meet cold or hot demands.
PUR Hot Melt often provides a stronger adhesion. PUR Hot Melt are highly efficient adhesives for the most demanding bonding requirements. PUR Hot Melts have also become standard adhesives for metal profiles and plastic foils that are difficult to bond.
The preferred application technology for Profile Wrapping Adhesives is roller applicator or slot nozzles with adjustable width, which are applied at very high speeds up to 300’/min.

PUR Hot Melt for Profile Wrapping: Perfect for wrapping very difficult to bond materials at low adhesive application temperatures that require superior levels of heat and moisture resistance.
EVA: EVA Hot Melt is one of the most practical ways to wrap profiles with decorative paper foils. EVA-based hot melt profile wrapping adhesive has been successfully used in the field in conventional cylinder applicators and slot nozzle lines. EVA profile wrap adhesives set fast and adhere to most difficult substrates.
Premium Adhesives
